Stus has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and has worked with many well known artists such as Nina Simone, Seal, Billy Idol, Greg Howe, B.B King, Madonna, Stereo Mcs, Iron Maiden to name but a few!

Moving to the Wiltshire countryside from the bright lights of London, Stus built the Starmaker recording studio to help launch the careers of other talented musicians looking for a break or that ultimate AAA pass to the back door of the music industry!

Stus Rollins – Way too Funky

These tracks from Canadian born Tammy Weis were  produced at Starmaker Studios, recorded over a 2 day period using existing backing tracks from a live performance from Pizza Express in London’s Dean Street. Vocals were recorded on a Cactus Blue mic and produced by Stus Rollins for one of  Tammy’s 2009 demo, the end results speak for themselves. Tammy is a serious recording artist and musical star in her own right, often found on the London Jazz scene and around the country gigging with her band. Starmaker is proud to have her as a Star Child.

James Shead is an acoustic singer songwriter living in Devon who recently visited the Starmaker Studios to record a selection of self penned tunes. Not only is he a talented guitar player but also a great singer with a healthy range a deep and yet penetrating voice.

‘’It is true to say that I came to singing later in life, I had always wanted to cover some of my

favourite songs and it was not until I discussed the project with Stus Rollins at Starmaker

that the whole idea started to come together. Stus had a blues tune that needed some

words, so early one Sunday morning the Credit Crunch Blues was born. Having now found

my voice I am trying to get some V.O work and record more songs – but without Starmaker Studios at the Manor Barn and Starmaker it would all still be a dream’’.

Pop star, Alvin Stardust was an icon of the 70′s & 80′s Rock and Roll music scene. Alvin came to Starmaker studios to demo new material for his come back tour Ungloved, which hit the road in 2006/2007.
